“It’s a wonderful effort and is worth emulating” said Justice J Chalameshwar of the AP High court. He was speaking at the Adoption Ceremony a concept introduced by Seva Bharathi for promoting and encouraging Child rights in the district. Justice Chalameshwar is of the view that Individuals as organizations should come forward to take up the cause of the children destituited and in struck in child labour. The programme was conducted at mahaboobnagar on June 23rd

Seva Bharathi is working in the field for over 5 years as part of its efforts to enhance child rights and eradicate child labour. Seva Bharathi has conducted a Screening test for the genuinely poor and intelligent students participated by 700 children from RBCs all over the district. These children who are child labourers turned Students for the past one year are enjoying the flavour of alphabets in Residential bridge course centers around the district. Seva Bharathi has taken upon itself to atleast bring the fragrance of literacy and education to the brightest among them with a combination of mental ability and written tests conducted with the help of a team of professors from B.R Ambedkar Open University. The children 60 of them selected in the test in 2006 would be educated and encouraged to higher learning by Seva Bharathi in the Sandipani awasam a home for Child labour affected boys.

Apart from the 60 children another 25 children not part of the screening test but selected on the needy based criterion have been adopted by Sri Chaitanya Sewa Samithi in Shadnagar Mandal, Burgula village run by Justice Bhikshapathy retired High court Judge. Justice Bhikshapathy has vowed to educate and look after the children and more next year until their studies are completed.

Sri Ramreddy of Seva Bharathi said ”The organization is running an approximate 75,000 sewa activities around the country in the interior villages, hamlets, tribal habitations as well as the urban slums. It’s a rare distinction for seva Bharathi that in the interior hamlets dominated by the Maoists in Chattisgarh and Madhyapradesh as well as Bihar the organization run Ekal Vidyalayas are the only source of mainstream exposure and education. Thanks to the brave Seva Bharathi Volunteers”.  

The programme was attended by a host of dignitaries which included Justice Bikshamaiah (retd) of the AP High court, Justice Ramarao of the dictrict court, Sri R Nagaraj President Seva Bharathi, Sri Rajeswar SSA APC,  as well as Sri Rajamowli DEO, MEO, and others.
