Destitute Homes for Orphans

Seva Bharathi is running 3 destitute homes for Orphans – one for girls and two for boys.

Vaidehi Ashram, Hyderabad:

Vaidehi Ashram was started by Seva Bharathi for destitute girls in 1993. It started with 3 girls and presently it is accommodating over 100 girls. Vaidehi Ashram takes full responsibility of these girls until till they get married.

In addition to education, girls are trained in self-defense, and provided vocational training skills in lamination crafts, candle making, painting, making of jute-bags etc. These girls become self-reliable women and capable of living on their own.

More than 30 Ashram girls are married off in these 25 years long journey.

Vatsalya Sindhu (Home for Destitute boys) was started in Secunderabad on 25th of December 1989. Vatsalya Sindhu selects boys between age group 3 to 12 years from deserving poor and down-trodden families, who are not having parents or anybody’s support and takes them in Awasam (Affection Home) by providing them food, clothing, education up to X class and bring them in a homely atmosphere.

At present 47 boys are there in rolls and for the last 25 years around 160 destitute boys have been benefited through this institution. After completion of minimum education up to X class, these boys will be provided technical training in vocational trades or further education depending upon the sponsorship by Donors, so that they live on their own and we have succeeded in this direction.

Sri Vivekananda Awasam, Bhainsa, Adilabad district:

Sri Vivekananda Awasam is an Affection home for the destitute children orphaned by accident for no fault of theirs. The little hearts need the warmth and affection of a family, with which they can feel like home. Bhainsa is the business hub for cotton trade on the Telangana and Maharashtra border, located in tribal belt of Adilabad district. The Affection home has been started in 1996 and now houses 18 orphaned children.

To inculcate the dignity of labour and self reliance last year the children stayed with the local carpenter, mechanic and such 5 different tradesmen to learn a vocational trade for themselves. It has been teaching for them. It was astonishing to hear from the children that one day they will raise up to help the children and run such schools. May God give them the strength to realize their ambitions.
