Seva Bharathi is running 7 affection homes in Telangana and Rayalaseema districts of Andhra Pradesh. Among those 6 are meant for boys and one is for girls called VAIDEHI ASHRAM situated at Saidabad, Hyderabad.
A Personality Development Camp for boys of all 6 affection homes was held at Kushaiguda, Hyderabad between 24–28, April, 2005 . A total of 128 children participated in the camp. They were trained in Yoga, Folk Dances, Self Defense, Speed Mathematics apart from Autobiographies of National Heroes.
Sri Rambhau Haldekarji, Kshetra Karyakarini Sadasy, inaugurated the Camp. Sri. D.D.Goel, Commissioner of Income Tax was the chief guest for the valedictory function. While addressing, Sri Goel requested the boys not to forget the roots from where they were nurtured and reciprocate the same to the society when they came up in life. This function coincided with the 15 th Anniversary of VATSALYS SINDHU an affection home for boys located at Moulali, Hyderabad. Sri Lingam Sudhakar Reddy, Prantha Pracharak, R.S.S. was the main speaker. The inmates of VATSALYA SINDHU presented a series of cultural programs, which often cheered by the audience. The chief guest and others dined with the children at the camp. Sri Nagaraju, President Seva Bharathi (Western A.P.) and C.B.R. Prasad, Philanthropist were also present.
KISHORI VIKAS YOJANA
Seva Bharathi is working for the upliftment of women by training them in self employment schemes. A series of training camps were held earlier also in this regard and the results are established. One such training camp called KISHORI VIKAS YOJANA was held between 6–8, May 2005 at Sri Saraswathi Shishu Mandir, Saidabad, Hyderabad for women of age group 12–20 years.
From 32 Seva Bastis (slums) as many as 168 slum dweller participated in this 3 day training (orientation) camp . They were trained in yoga (for mental fitness), Painting, Tailoring, Embroidery, Hemming etc. Dr. Smt. Sandhya, Gynecologist, Smt. Vijaya Bharathi, Prantha Karyavahika – Rashtreeya Sevika Samithi and Dr. Annadanam Subrahmanyam, Bhagyanagar Vibhag Karyavahak, R.S.S. guided them during their 3 days stay.
DEEPA POOJA was highlight of the camp. Smt. Neeraja, Vargadhikari organized DEEPA POOJA program by lightening hundreds of lamps in designs of omkar, swastik and festoons at nearest Shiva Temple. All the delegates of the camp took part in this event.
Sri Vidyaranya Swamy of Hampi Peetham was the chief guest of valedictory function. He expressed his unhappiness over the deteriorating human values in the society. He held responsible mothers for not inculcating the good habits to their wards. He emphasized the need of well mannered women for a better society. If mother is good at values it can be easily passed on to children who intern next generation. Smt. Surekha, who was the Boudhik Pramukh for the camp anchored the program. Smt. Jayaprada, Varga Pramukh thanked the generosity of the Shishu Mandir committee and the audience who came to grace the occasion.
Sri R. Nagaraj, President, Seva Bharathi Western A.P., Sri Aekka Chandra Sekhar, Prantha Seva Pramukh, Sri Peta Venkateswar Rao, Secretary, Seva Bharathi, Sri Meka Satyanarayana, Saha Vibhag Seva Pramukh also graced the occasion. |
