Under the aegis of Seva Bharati, Bharat Mata puja utsav's were conducted in various parts of the city; Similar programs have been organised by Seva Bharati across the country in various slums; There was immense response from the "Seva Bastis" in all the Utsavs; "Samskritaka Karyakrams" ( cultural programs) by children of the Bala Samskara Kendras and Bhajans were organised. The people who came to attend the programs were surprised to find children of the slums render shlokas and bhajans; In fact it was an eye-opener to the parents of the children too; Some of the parents vowed not to indulge in liquor and maintain a good atmosphere at home so that their children would not be negatively affected. In all in Hyderabad, 13 programs were held, each program attended by approx 500 - 1000 people; The message in all the programs was upholding of Dharma by practising it, some aspects of how Xtian missionaries are hoodwinking the Hindus and some aspects of what a "Hindu Gruha" is all about.
