Performance of Children of affection Homes: March'04: Sevabharathi nurtures 300 children Orphaned by fate also children poor and helpless with the help of the 8 Affection Homes (they are not Orphans). Out of the 300 children 18 children appeared for SSC board exams and 16 of them have passed out with flying colors. In fact Kumari Prasanna from Vaidehi Ashram has scored a 512 out of 600. Others who have appeared for Public exams are 15 children for Intermediate board exams, 5 children in their Graduation, 4 in ITI.
Summmer Training Programme'04: Deendayala Seva Samithi has organised a week long annual Summer Training programme for the 49 selected Slum children with an objective of improving their educational basics. The children were taught and trained in personality development with small games, Bhagawadgeeta recital, Yoga, English Grammer, Siplified mathematical fun etc.
State level Teachers Training Programme: 2 nd –8 th may'04 A State level teachers Training Programme was Organized to equip the Existing teachers with better skills as well as to train new teachers selected from all over the state. A total of 30 participants were selected from 5 districts.
Dr Hedgewar Memorial Mega Medical Camp for Slum dwellers of Hyderabad : 24 th Mar'04 A Free medical camp with 36 doctors from 17 faculties was organised at sitarambagh in Hyderabad . As many as 1560 patients were benefited from the camp. The City Deputy Commissioner of Police Mr Srinivas was the chief Guest. Sri Bhagayyaji was the chief Speaker. The Local Maitri sangham was actively involved in the programme.
Visit of the Deputy High Commissioner, British High Commission: Mar'8 th '04
Sri Stuart Innes the British Deputy High Commissioner has visited the Child labor rehabilitation center at Amistapur, Mahaboobnagar Dist. The High Commissioner was all praise for the methodology adopted for teaching the child laborers. The children sang a Folk dong for the guest and greeted him with warmth. Also present were the DFID representative Mr. Sarath, The ILO Project officer Mr. Joseph, Sevabharathi representative Mr. Chowdary, Mr. Venkatesh from the District committee, Sri Murahari rao of the CEASE child labor were all present.
New Building Inauguration: Ekalavya Awasam: 7th March 2004 A New block was added to the Existing building of Ekalavya Ashram- Sevabharathi, Manchiryal. The IDRF (a USA based NGO) has contributed Rs 5 lakh to the whole cause. Sri Raghunath from Mancheryal now in USA has represented the IDRF. Sri Sitaram Kedaliya the Akhila Bharata seva Pramukh has graced the Occasion. Also present were the local Lakshettipet MLA Sri Diwakara rao, Ex- MLA Sri Hanumanth rao, Municipal Chairman Sri Mangilal somani were the Guest of Honor.
VAIDEHI ASHRAMAM Annual day: 29 th Feb'04 The 11 th Annual Day celebration of the Affection Home for girls has made an impact on the elite and layman alike. The 35 Girls together performed a dance, which moved the audience. The Guest list include Sri LV Subrahmanyam IAS Vice Chairman & Managing director APIIDC as Chief guest Sri M Ranjith GM (P&A) BDL and the Revered Sri Bhagayya garu Saha Dakshina Kshetra Pracharak.
12 th Anniversary celebrations: Valmiki awasam, Jagityal. 19 th Feb '04 The Affection home for the destitute and Socially backward illiterate children has been a home for the 32 children. Sri RS Pravin IPS SP of Karimnagar District, Sri Surya Rao RDO, Jagityal have appreciated the efforts of the Awasam and encouraged the children to pursue their endeavour.
Bala Mela : 8 th -9 th Feb'04 Mahaboobnagar: The Bala Mela presided by the District collector Sri Madhusudan IAS has thrown light on the efforts put in by the volunteers of Sevabharathi for the past couple of years in the field of Child labor rehabilitation. Participated by the 700 children from 10 child labor rehabilitation centers run by sevabharathi the even brought in the local MLA and Law minister Sri Chardrasekhararao and other officials. The Collector was quick to point out that out of the 70 and odd schools certainly Sevabharathi has made a mark in the district and on the lives of the children.
Bharat Mata Pooja: Hyderabad : Jan 25th '04 A total of 1100 Women all from the slums of Hyderabad gave a wonderful performance of Bhajans and Folk dance. Then the Mother Bharathi was worshipped in the presence of Smt Nirmala Sitaram member National Commission for Women. Sri Premji Goel The Akhil Bharatha Seva Pramukh gave his message in the capacity as the Chief guest of Honor.

New Building inauguration: 10 th Annual day celebrations: Annapoornamma Awasam : 23 rd Jan '04 The 10 th anniversary of the Home for the poor and Destitute which hosts 29 children was celebrated in the auspicious presence of Mananiya Sri Premji Goel. The District Collector Sri Ajay Jain was also present on the occasion as the chief Guest.
8 th Anniversary Celebrations : Vivekananda Awasam Bhainsa : On the occasion of the 8 th anniversary the Central Minister for state for HRD Sri Sanjay Paswan was gracious enough to be present along with His Holiness the the Swamiji of Pushpagiri peetham. The home fro the poor and Destitute has been hosting and nurturing 19 children to their best.
The Special Camp for the Children of the Affection Homes: Manchiryal: 6 th -12 th jan'04 : A week long Special Camp for the Children of the Afffection homes Valmiki awasam- Jagityal, Ekalvya awasam- Mancheryal, Vatsalyasindhu- Hyderabad, Vivekananda Awasam- Bhainsa a total of 67 children were tutored in Athletics, folk arts, Volleyball, Football, Personality development, Bhagawadgeeta. A separate meeting for the Old students of the Awasams was held alsong with the Adminitrative committee meeting. The parents were thrilled by their kids performances.
Visit of Poojya Shankaracharya of Pushpagiri: Adilabad Hamlets: 5 th -6 th Jan'04 Poojya Shankarachary visited the Ekal Vidyalayas of Barhampura, Jhari, tribal villages 16 km interior to the nearest road. His Holiness was impressed by the performances and display of the children and their dance. The people behind the 5 year Success of the 16 Single teacher schools in the District . Sri Krishna Rao a retired employee from BDL and his SWARG team were thrilled when the children recited Lingashtakam.
Awareness Programme for Women: Hyderabad , 1 st -31 st dec'03 An Awareness Programme on hygienic practices and need for a healthy and combined families was conducted in Hyderabad in a series of 5 camps in different slums. 1000 women from 120 slums were reached as part of the campaign.
Inauguration of the Mobile Dispensary for Chenchus: Gokavaram , Kurnool Dist ( 20 th Nov '03 ) A Central Govt Funded Program for the Primitive Tribal group Chenchus of Nallamalai Forest. The Dispensary on Wheels was Inaugurated by Sri Sitaramreddy MLA Atmakur, and the elderly Sri G Pullareddy. The dispensary is a service to the PTG s who are mostly affected with TB, Skin diseases, Malnutrition, Eye complications and with Primitive practices of Pregnancy and child care. Its also aimed at bringing a level of Awareness.
Foundation Stone laying Keshava Seva Samithi School Kandukurthy : 30 th Oct'03 Mananeeya Sri Haldekarji has laid the Foundation Stone for the expansion of School run by Keshava seva Samithi. Run for the past 7 years the school has many firsts for itself. And the School is located in a place that is Historically and otherwise important, the border point for the Maharashtra and AP as well as a Triveni sangam of Godavari , Manjira and Haridra (Only one of its kind).
Foundation Stone laying: Ramakrishna Vidyalaya: Machupahad: 5 th Oct '03 The interior Naxal infested Machupahad in Warangal Dist, is the place for the Sevabharathi school as it is called. The school a humble success for the past 9 years inspite of the threat from the leftist terror elements. A foundation Stone was laid for a two room Expansion of the School. The General Secretary Sri KS Murthy and Organising Secretary Sri A Chandra sekhar were present apart from volunteers from the Dist.
Visit of the Chinmaya Mission to the Bridge School: 12 th Aug'03: The Swamyji poojya sri Chidatmananda was gracious enough to give his blessings to the children of the Bridge school along with a pair of dress to the 190 children from two Child labour rehabilitation centers in Mahaboobnagar Dist (Makhtal and Bhoothpur). The Members of the Chinmaya trust Sri Murali and Sri Poornachandra rao as well as Sri Ravindra was also Present. One more Important Guest was Sri Vijay Kumar mallampati representing IDRF.
Full time Volunteers Training Camp: 26 th – 27 th July'03 Hyderabad A two day State level training Programme for the Full time Volunteers (Seva Vrathis) was Organised at the Sharada Dhamam bandlaguda. Full time Volunteers from all over the state a total of 32 of them were present under the guidance of the Akhil Bharatiya Saha Seva Pramukh Sri Sitaam Kekedaliya.
Pushakara Mela:: Keshava Seva samithi Kandukurthy June 30 th to July 15 th '03 : The Keshava Seva samithi under the aegis of Sevabharathi has participated in the Pilgrimage of PUSHKARA MELA at kandukurthi. Over all 25 lakh pilgrims were served with food packets and water packets. The team of volunteers included 5 doctors and 250 volunteers drawn from neighboring districts.
Personality Development Programme: 5 th – 18 th May'03 Hyderabad Slums: An annual week long Summer training Programme that has been running consecutive 7 th year in the slums of the twin cities has concluded with pomp and joy. Conducted by the Deendayal seva samithi a unit of Sevabharathi the annual summer event is the most awaited by the children of the slums. The children were taught Simple mathematics, Hymns from Bhagawadgeetha, Yoga, Embroidery, Patriotic songs, English Grammer and Folk Dance.
Teachers Training Program: 27 th Apr – 6 th May '03 Amistapur, Mahaboobnagar Dist The Teachers Training Program was organised for a selected 60 Teachers working in Single teacher schools in the tribal, and interior hamlets and the Child labor rehabilitation centers from all over the state. The 10-day training Programme had exclusively covered the Govt curriculum and methodology.
