It all started with an effort by the Volunteers of Sevabharathi. And added the support by the Seedsmen Association who have supported the Bridge school, Amistapur in Bhoothpur mandal of Mahaboobnagar Dist. The School an effort of a year and half by sevabharathi - seedsmen association to initiate efforts to eradicate child labour was taken up after a detailed survey of the Bhoothpur mandal. The mandal has been in the news for having highest Child labour and in specific those working in the seed industry. This is what has made consious the seedmen association, a state level body of seed manufacturers initiate.
The Beginning: A joint effort by Sevabharathi, the seedsmen association, has been successful till date and will continue to put further efforts in the direction. Sevabharathi took the execution part of the project, the education and looking after the kids till they are bridged to the Schools nearby. After a detailed survey, of children working and Non-school going in the age groups 6-8 and 9-14 years was found to be an astonishing 2160 out of which 5-8 years were 600. The data has further inspired to take up the issue first among them-selves and then with the authorities concerned.
After the initial efforts the District collector, DPEP and authorities concerned were impressed and alloted two residential schools with strength of 100 each for boys and girls working as well as Non-school going, as part of the efforts for eradication of child labour. Right from the inauguration on 09-09-02 at Amistapur in the presence of the DEO, Govt authorities, and the Funtionaries of Sevabharathi its been a wonderful experience.

The Effort is being carried forward despite the seedsmen association backing away from the project. Now the Project has to its credit 11 CHILD LABOUR REHABILITATION Centers all over the District. Makhtal, Balmoor, Hanwada, Amistapur, and so on. The list is ever expanding With every year the Children Breaking the District records.
