Sevabharathi Runs 12 Affection Homes for the Destitutes And there are 282 kids nurtured in the affection and knowledge sharing environment. All the kids are from the remotest / poverty strikken / draught hit areas and varied backgrounds . They have us and we all stand by, with them, so they can never be Orphans.

This Year and Today ( 1st May'03) the Results of the 10th class or the Secondary School Certificate Board Exams have been announced. Its Thrilling to look at the effort put by the teams the kids and All those wellwishers who were with the kids in time of need, to help them get to where they are now. A kid from ADILABAD DIST ( Mancheryal, Ekalavya Ashramam) was able to touch 530 the highest in the mandal. Master Praveen is from a backward area and from the ST community has been a toiling kid in Studies and Sports. Now the kid is confident of reaching the stars. Out of the 12 children who appeared in the 10th exams all but two were in their I st class / grade. One of them has lost his English and the other has been in the II nd grade. The total kids that came out in flying colours and are in their pusuing for further academic and voccational career is 32. We have a student pusuing his Engineering in Mancheryal then kids (Young men now) in their Graduation, then in jobs settled with self-employment. Two of the Girls Happily married (Vaidehi Ashram). Apart from the Academics the Kids were able to perform in the State level Athjletics (By the SAAP). The Kids 6 of them from Valmiki Ashram were selcted for Games in the Statelevel to represent their District (Adilabad), Children who played and won the Medals in the All India Competitions in Sports and Games Conducted by the Vidyabharathi An NGO an All India Apex Body of Education. · One out of two children between the ages of 6 and 14 has no access to primary education
· To help the destitute children have their due place in the society

Sevabharati has established 10 destitute homes for over 282 children
Located in the interior areas like Narayanpet , Kurnool. Jagityal, Manchiryal and Bhainsa, these destitute homes provide a roof for destitute, tribal and econamically backward children.The Children are from a variety of sections of the society:
