Seva Bharathi

Every effort invested in the Seva Bharathi’s Centre in Dammaiguda opens doors to a huge impact. The women’s determination and enthusiasm to learn makes then gain confidence and gives them wings to independence. September 2025 for Seva Bharathi was energetic with multiple activities and significant achievements. 

Our SDC has 38 trainees who are put into three batches so learning is easy to follow. We have trainers who help women learn basic skills like cutting and handwork to advanced tasks like stitching collars and cuffs, and even frocks. Every person can learn at their own pace and learn skills to support their families and society.

15 trainees spent their time learning and stitching shirts and bags. While 18 more women from nearby villages and areas also joined hands to help. Together, the entire women team worked on stitching bags, checking every cut, stitch, and measurement with care. The team of highly motivated women too measurement with precision, checked every seam and stitch, and worked meticulously on stitching bags. The SDC also bought a professional body form to help women get perfect with proper fittings and garment measurement.

The team commuted to different places like Malkajgiri, Secunderabad, and Boduppal to source materials, sample designs, and new machines. There were too many visits and a lot of hands-on work. These small tasks kept the team active and progress was observed every single day.

7th September was a day devoted to cutting and stitching workshops. It was conducted by the experts – Kamal Vyas and Master Subramanyam. The session was quite special as women trainees got an opportunity to learn new techniques from professionals. It was pleasant to see the team enjoying sponsored lunch, also they had hopes and promise in their eyes to learn new skills.

On 24th September, the team celebrated Bathukamma festival with joy and colors. The SDC was glowing with flowers and positive vibes as the trainees got some time for themselves from stitching and celebrated the festival with utmost job. The day was a beautiful reflection of learning and culture on parallel sides. 

A lot of visitors also came forward to support the team members. On 19th September, Shri Balu Yadav from RSS showed his presence in the center and appreciated the team for their hard work. The team members were highly motivated to continue the same in the coming days.

During the end of the month, the team brought new materials and new upgraded machines. These improvements ensure making the upcoming programs smoother and efficient.

At Seva Bharathi, we believe that any simple training offered at the Skill Development Centres should bring a real change in people’s life. This is a space built for woman to grow, learn, and even earn. Every piece that is stitched here shares a story of dedication and courage, which inspires others to start their own journey and take a leap.
