Pascha Pooja is 15 years old, studying in 10th grade at Z.P.H.S. Nakkartha Medipally in Yacharam. She comes from a farming family with few resources but plenty of dreams. As the oldest of three siblings, Pooja strikes a balance between her own education and serving as an inspiration to her younger siblings.
Despite their limited resources, her parents, Sri Pascha Venkatesh and Smt. Kavitha, have always supported education. Pooja has become a committed student and an accomplished athlete thanks to this conviction and the assistance of Seva Bharathi Telangana’s Kishori Vikas program.
While in the eighth grade, Pooja enrolled in Kishori Vikas in December 2020. This nonprofit organization in India runs centers for girls from underprivileged and rural areas throughout Telangana. Volunteers saw Pooja’s potential right away and gave her the direction she required.
Kishori Vikas offers more than academic support. The program focuses on building confidence, developing leadership skills, creating health awareness, and providing opportunities that girls in rural areas might otherwise never access. For Pooja, this comprehensive approach made all the difference.
Pooja excels in Kho-Kho, winning medals and trophies at district-level competitions. Her success in sports demonstrates discipline, dedication, and the confidence to compete. These achievements matter beyond the medals themselves, proving Pooja and other girls in her community can excel in any field they choose.
Participation in sports taught Pooja valuable lessons about perseverance and handling both victory and defeat gracefully. These skills transfer directly to her academic work and will serve her throughout life, regardless of which career path she eventually chooses.
Pooja’s story tells how Seva Bharathi Telangana plays a vital role. Many talented students lack access to resources, mentorship, or even encouragement to pursue their abilities. Without intervention from social welfare organizations, this potential might never be realized.
When girls like Pooja succeed, the impact extends beyond individual achievement. Other girls in Yacharam see a peer excelling in both academics and sports, making those goals feel attainable for them too.
Her journey from a village student to a district-level athlete and confident young woman demonstrates what happens when talent meets opportunity. Seva Bharathi Telangana’s commitment to supporting girls like Pooja creates possibilities that transform not just individual lives but entire communities.
