Contribute GENEROUSLY to the Construction of Kesava Smriti Mandir
(A PROJECT IN MEMORY OF PARAMA PUJYA DR KESAVARAO BALIRAM PANT HEGDEWAR )
The ancestors of the parama pujya Dr. Keshavarao Baliram Pant Hegdewar (fondly called Dr Ji), the founder of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), hailed from the village of Kandukurthi in Nizamabad district of the Telangana region. Dr Ji’s great grandfather, Sri Narahari Sastry, migrated from Kandukurthi to Nagpur in Maharashtra.
In the premises of this ancestral home in Kandukurthi, “Kesava Smriti Mandir” was inaugurated by Mananeeya Moropanth Pingale ji in 1994, under the aegis of Sri Kesava Seva Samithi (affiliate of Seva Bharathi). Kesava Smriti Mandir was visited by many respected elders including Parama pujya Sri Balasaheb Deoras ji in 1996 and Parama pujya Sri Rajju Bhayya in 1997.
In 1997, Sri Keshava Seva Samithi (affiliate of Seva Bharathi) established “Kesava Vidyalayam” as an addition to the “Kesava Smriti Mandir”. The primary objective of this school is to provide quality education to the students from underprivileged and marginal communities. RSS volunteers (Swayam Sewaks) who are experienced in the field of education and committed to take care of the welfare of these students manage this school.
As part of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh’s centenary celebrations, Seva Bharathi embarked upon a grand project of constructing the “Kesava Smriti Mandir Campus”.
It consists of four sub-projects:
- “Kesava Smriti Mandir” in memory of Parama Poojaneeya Doctor ji
- In the same campus a new Building for “Kesava Vidyalayam”, “Skill Development Center” to impart academics, employment and vocation training to the youth and “Hostel buildings” to provide shelter for these students.
