The National Seva Bharati unit of the RSS has launched a nutrition campaign with the slogan “Well-Nourished India, Strong India.” As part of this initiative, a human chain was formed at Rajwada in Indore on Thursday.
The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) consistently works towards uniting society, fostering nationalism, and advancing social welfare. Continuing this mission, the National Seva Bharati unit of the RSS has launched a nutrition campaign with the slogan “Well-Nourished India, Strong India.” As part of the campaign, a human chain was formed at Rajwada in Indore on Thursday.
Campaign Progress In this campaign, 1,500 people participated, understanding the importance and necessity of nutrition across all sections of society. National Seva Bharati has decided to observe “Nutrition Week” nationwide from September 1 to 30, 2024, under the theme “Sarve Bhavantu Sukhinah” (May all be happy). Through various service activities, volunteers are continuously working for the upliftment of society and the nation. The ‘Nutrition Awareness Campaign’ is also a part of National Seva Bharati’s efforts, under which Nutrition Week will be observed in Indore from September 22 to 29, 2024, covering 353 service areas and the general public as well. The week-long program began on Thursday, September 19, with a human chain spanning one kilometer.
Program Leadership The program was chaired by Parag Abhyankar, All India Seva Chief (RSS). He emphasized the importance of nutrition, stating that the negative impact of malnutrition can only be countered through nutrition awareness. He also highlighted the significance of following our ancient dietary practices and urged the younger generation to adopt them. The chief guest of the event was Savitri Thakur, Union Minister of State for Women and Child Development, from the Dhar district. Also present were Dr. Mukesh Modi, Department RSS Chief, Swapnil Parkhya, Seva Bharati Malwa Province Secretary, and Ravi Bhatia, President of Seva Bharati Indore.
Remarks by the Union Minister Minister Thakur praised Seva Bharati for its commendable work in promoting societal advancement. She expressed her gratitude and considered it an honor to have delivered her first speech in the city of Ahilyabai Holkar, thanks to Seva Bharati. The program was anchored by Anita Raghuvanshi, with Ashok Rathi, the Secretary, presenting the program’s background. The vote of thanks was delivered by Treasurer Rajesh Khandelwal.
